MassEnergyInsight (MEI) aggregates more than 1,800,000 utility records each month from every major Massachusetts investor-owned utility, plus data from 22 municipal utilities across dozens of formats and transfer protocols. MEI is a core part of the state’s Green Communities program.

OptiMiser currently collects and analyzes data for hundreds of state, municipal, and regional entities — approximately 15,000 facilities and over 50,000 accounts. We update more than 1,800,000 utility records each month, with established protocols for investor-owned gas and electric utilities, dozens of municipal utilities, and other energy suppliers.
OptiMiser Focus was previously available to all 234 New Hampshire communities during a 30-month federally funded project for the New Hampshire Office of Energy and Planning. Focus (then “Peregrine Focus”) helped communities understand energy use, emissions, and costs so they could put effective efficiency programs in place — ultimately tracking nearly 1,500 buildings and more than 2,900 energy accounts representing more than 54 million kWh/year of electricity, more than 1.7 million therms/year of natural gas, and more than $10.5 million/year in energy spend.
The Boston Housing Authority uses OptiMiser Focus to centralize, manage, and report on energy use, emissions, and cost data for more than 9 million square feet, 66 properties, 11,690 apartments, and 4,200 utility accounts. The City of Providence, Rhode Island, tracks energy use and costs for 150 buildings and 700 utility accounts.
